Dr. Destro was born and raised in Fredonia, New York.  He received his Bachelors of Science in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from the University of Charleston in Charleston, West Virginia.  He then spend 5 years working in the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball organization as an athletic trainer in their minor league system.

Dr. Destro received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in March of 2012.  After graduated Chiropractic College Dr. Destro and his wife decided to move to Chesterfield, Va.  He has been practicing in the area for over 3 years now and has treated patients from newborn to ones in their 90’s.
